RHK Volunteer Spotlight

Meet Marsha Rodriguez. Marsha serves as a volunteer mentor with our third and fourth grade girls during our Monday evening program.
Family is very important to Marsha. A single mom, her son is now in his last year of college at UW Milwaukee. Her large extended family living nearby, were a huge source of encouragement and support as Marsha worked hard to become a registered nurse. She now works as an Infectious Disease Nurse Practitioner at UWHealth Swedish American. In her free time, she loves being outdoors, bike riding, traveling, and especially spending time with family.
She also has a passion for children’s ministry. Marsha volunteers at RHK because she wants to be a positive role model and a light for the girls. “I want to build relationships with these young girls and encourage them to strive to be successful individuals in the community. The kids are the reason why I keep coming back. I’ve built relationships with my girls and love how they feel comfortable listening and talking with me,” she said.
Marsha believes “Anyone looking to make a positive impact in our community should definitely consider volunteering at RHK.”
