Mackenzie Gottman

Mackenzie was born and raised in Springfield, Illinois. She became involved in her local church and volunteered in their children’s ministry throughout her middle and high school years. Mackenzie went through a Nine-month School of Leadership class and graduated the youngest in her class. After graduating from this program, she felt God calling her into ministry.

The Lord led Mackenzie to attend Southwestern Assembly of God University, where she pursued her Bachelor’s degree in Church Leadership and a concentration in Children and Family Ministry. While working on her degree, she interned at Life Church in Roscoe, Illinois, where she met her husband, Ben. Early in her Senior year, they married and began serving in ministry together.

They both volunteered at Rock House Kids through Life Church for various events. Now, as Mackenzie serves on staff as our Program Coordinator, Ben continues working alongside her as a Program volunteer. Mackenzie said, “The Lord is leading us on an amazing journey together to serve his kingdom better.”

In their free time, they love renovating their house, putting puzzles together, and playing games. They also have a four-year-old German Shepherd named Bear.
